Liovardo (Leo) Pena Garza, 65, of Corpus Christi, Texas, gained his wings on August 6, 2021.

Leo was born in Robstown, Texas and grew up in Kingsville, Texas. Leo was a graduate of H.M. King High School in Kingsville, Texas and received his Bachelor's degree from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. Leo was an avid fan of the Texas A&I Javalinas and the Chicago Bears. He loved history, photography, and classic trucks.  He would never decline a Shiner Bock.  Leo was an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 278.

Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto and Pauline Garza, his sister Maria Elena Villarreal and his brother Ray Garza.

Leo is survived by his wife Katherine Tapia Garza, brother Jose Simitrio Garza, brother-in-law Juan Villarreal, sister-in-law Maria Garza and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown SH 286, Corpus Christi, Texas with Rev. Fr. John McKenzie officiating.
