Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Katherine Gonzalez, who departed this life on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

She dedicated most of her life to caring for and teaching children as a preschool teacher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where she touched and shaped the lives of countless families throughout the years. She most certainly left a lasting impact on everyone that was fortunate enough to know her.

She was a strong, vibrant woman who, alongside the love of her life, raised not only strong and loving children, but also cherished grandchildren whom she delighted in having the pleasure of getting to teach and guide along the way as well. She leaves behind not only beautiful memories to treasure, but a love and legacy that will continue to live on through generations.

Her spirit was truly one of a kind and she found great joy in camping trips with the whole family to Garner St Park, Friday night cookouts at the house where she always outdid herself with the most delicious meals, and tending lovingly to her beautiful garden. No matter what she did, she poured her whole heart into it and so she leaves behind an incredible mark on all of those who knew and loved her, and she will be missed beyond words.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Adolfo Munguia Sr. and Herlinda Rivera Munguia, and her brothers Jose N. Hernandez and Adolfo Munguia Jr.

She is survived by her husband Abel Gonzalez Jr. and their children Abel (Melisa) Gonzalez III, Stacie Graham, Tami Jo (Christopher) Guzman, Jaime Gonzalez, and Jacob (Kimberly) Gonzalez, her siblings Isabel Molina, Edna (Robert) Garibay, Ernest (Janet) Munguia Sr., Julia (James) Wall, and Eva Blagburn, and her 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
