Obituary

Three months ago my mother, Lee Dudo was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and on Monday October 14th, 2019 she became an Angel.

She was born to the late Joseph and Beatrice Pakosta on September 20th, 1937 in Rice Lake, WI. She was the second youngest of 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Lee was a firm believer in "Work Hard Play Hard". She worked for the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Minneapolis for 28 years; first in the Radiology Dept and later promoted to the Cath Lab. She loved to experience life and travel to Puerto Escondido with her late husband, Norman Carl to escape the brutal Minnesota winters. She had a passion for reading and was a lifelong learner.

My mom was my hero, my best friend and I cherished every moment with her and embraced her life lessons. She taught me to have fun, be adventurous and never lose your sense of humor. Embrace adversity; be strong, as well as a fighter; take on every challenge and do it with grace. Never be a victim of anything. Be humble she would say, "we are better than nobody". Love unconditionally and remain loyal to your family and closest friends.

She was so grateful for the life she had lived and was fortunate to have a loving family and supportive friends. She will be greatly missed and warmly remembered by all who knew her.

Lee was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Carl; daughter Kim Dudo; six big brothers and one treasured sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Baker and husband Mike, granddaughter, Morgan and grandson, Colin of Corpus Christi, TX.; Two step-daughters; four step-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be reunited with her soulmate and love of her life, Norman Carl at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Date and time TBD.
