Leonel Sandoval, Jr, passed away peacefully at his home in Corpus Christi on January 30, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was 70 years old. Born in McAllen, Texas on July 17, 1949 to the late Guadalupe and Leonel Sandoval, Sr.

He retired from Reynolds Sherwin Alumina plant after 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers , Arnold, , Javier, Jerry, and sister Gracie Rubio. He is survived by his wife Beatrice, celebrating 25 beautiful years of marriage on January 28, 2020. Also surviving are his brother Joe (Debbie) Sandoval from San Antonio, TX, His step children from Phoenix, Arizona, Leo Marez, Lee Ann Marez and grandson Thomas Shockley whom he adored. Daughter Melissa, son Andrew and four grandchildren, brothers in law Pilo Vasquez, Joe (Bea) Vasquez, numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel B.
