IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lauro Q.
Garcia, Sr.
September 11, 1958 – August 4, 2020
Lauro Q. Garcia, Sr. passed away on August 4, 2020 at the young age of 61.
He was born in Caldwell, Idaho on September 11, 1958 to his parents Rodolfo Garcia and Celia Lopez.
It is nearly impossible to capture the life of Larry, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, in only a few words.
Those who were blessed to have called Larry a friend knew that he was extremely proud of his role as a great and loving husband, father, and grandfather who was loved and respected by many. If one had to describe him, two simple words would be used; "family man."
The love which he gave to his family is enough to last a lifetime. Never would he allow those he loved to go without, he was such a wonderful provider.
Larry always had a tremendous work ethic. He understood the hard work and dedication that was required to succeed at a young age. In the early 1980's he worked as a driller in the oilfield. He then dedicated many years as a boilermaker for Bay LTD., a job of which he did with true passion.
When he
wasn't
working, he found great joy riding his motorcycle; there was just something about the fresh air brushing against his face on that open road that brought him great happiness.
He gave life to many things; whether it be a vehicle that needed his expert mechanic opinion or growing his own fruits and vegetables with his wife Blanca, in their garden. Many of his days were spent at the beach or in the backyard with his family and friends gathered around sharing good food and making wonderful memories.
If you know Larry, you know that he was the life of the party; he had the best sense of humor! Oftentimes his sons-in-law were scared to approach him as they weren't sure what nickname he was going to have for them that day. Always with a smile on his face and a joke on his lips; he left everyone with a bit of laughter. We once asked him what his favorite color was and he responded, "money green!"
Although he may have been a jokester at times, he had a generous heart; always thinking of others' needs above his own; he was truly a selfless man.
The legacy which Larry built in this life has left our hearts full.
Your memory will live on for generations to come.
We will cherish all the beautiful moments we spent with you. We love you.
