Laurel Lee Collins, 60, passed away February 15, 2014 in Corpus Chrisi Texas. Laurel was born April 14, 1953. She was preceded in death by her loving Mother Mary E. Denton and her Grandmother Jewel J. Clanton. While attending W.B. Ray High School she was an avid surfer and petitioned the city for sufers right along Bob Hall pier. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister Shelley E. Johnson, her nieces, Jennifer Johnson (Todd) Scholl, Michele Johnson (Aaron) Sowder, great niece, Alauren Johnson and, great nephews, Landen Johnson, Cash Sowder, Colton Scholl. Memorial services and Celebration of Laurel's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel B.
