Larry E. Major passed peacefully in his home on April 25, 2018, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 75, surrounded by his loved ones.
Larry is preceeded in death by his wife, Betty I. Major, mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Major, brother, Tommy Major, sister, Aulta Alumbaugh and brother, Jerry Major.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara (Frank) Hanson, his children Randy (Karen) Major, Kimberly Phillips and Michelle (Steve) Major Evans, and his wife's children Tammy (Dennis) Gallagher, Mike (Patricia) Goldapp and Travis (Athena) Goldapp; and his grandchildren, Weston and Marshall Major, Brennan Riley, Camryn (Mike) McLaughlin, Taylor and Annelies Gallagher, Mason, Miranda and Jamie Goldapp, Ethan and Bethany Goldapp and Ruby Lopez, who he considered one of his granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was born on July 24, 1942, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He had a long, proud career as a Union Electrician working out of IBEW L.U. 278. He was very instrumental in helping the careers of many young men and women to become Journeyman electricians. He will be dearly missed by all.
The family will have a private burial per his wishes. There will be a Celebration of Life on May 19th for friends and family to share fond memories at the IBEW Hall (2301 Saratoga Blvd.) at 1 p.m. until the last memory is shared.
