Karen Margaret Williamson went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2018 at the age of 64. She was born in Mathis, Texas to her loving parents Albert and Madeline Syma on November 12, 1953.
Karen proudly graduated Mathis High School in the early 70's. Following her high school career she assisted her community as a law enforcement and emergency service dispatcher in Mathis.
On October 27, 1973, Karen married the love of her life, William Travis Williamson, Sr., moving to Bishop, Texas where they chose to live out the sacrament of married life and raise their soon to be family.
Shortly after their marriage, Karen would trade in her civilian hat, to join the ranks of some of the finest woman; taking on her role as a fulltime wife and mother.
From William and Karen's Holy Matrimony, three beautiful sons were brought to earth, William Jr., Clinton, and Adam.
Karen was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She had a passion for the art of crocheting, creating many delightful pieces that will live on with those who loved her dearly.
Karen was preceded in death by both of her parents Albert and Madeline; brothers: Leonard Syma, Ray Syma, and Tommy Syma.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, her faithful husband of 44 years William; her sons: William Travis Williamson, Jr. (Rhonda), Clinton Cole Williamson (Donna), and Adam Dillard Williamson (Toni); grandchildren: Shyla, Elizabeth, Jared, Braden, Hunter, Clayton, Madalyn, Connor, Chance, and Dustin, all of whom proudly bear the last name of Williamson; numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Karen's life, at 2 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at Guardian Funeral Home.
