Julia Ann Raines Bays (Julie) was 74 years old and at home with family at the moment of her death after a long battle with Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) on Sunday, May 21st 2023. She resided on North Padre Island in Corpus Christi, TX.

Julie was born in Charleston, WV on May 2, 1949.  She was the daughter of Gloria Garnet Raines and David Bradford Raines (deceased). Julie is survived by her husband, Ronald Lee Bays of Corpus Christi, TX, mother, Gloria Garnet Raines of Spencer, WV, younger brother Todd Anthony Raines of Eldersburg MD, daughter, Jenna Bays Dever of Corpus Christi TX, and granddaughter, Emma Julianne Dever of Aurora, CO.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled on May 26, 2023, at Padre Island Baptist Church at 1 P.M. preceded by a luncheon at 11:30 A.M. Julie was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

Guardian Funeral Home of Corpus Christi, TX will perform the cremation services 25-27 May2023 timeframe.
