Mrs. Juanita B. Urquizo, 85, passed away February 23, 2018 peacefully at her daughter's home Norma B. Urquizo after a long illness. Born in Oakville, Texas to Mr. & Mrs. Hilario & Maria Barrera. She was preceded in death by her husband Enrique Urquizo. She is survived by her children, Elodia, Alfred, Abelardo, Sylvia, Norma, Enrique, Jr., Melisia, Mandy, and thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Guardian funeral home, Corpus Christi, Tx. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Mathis, Texas. Burial will follow in Descanso Eterno II cemetery. Reception to follow after the burial at Sacred Heart Catholic church.
