Juanita (Connie) Ortiz Cantu, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend peacefully entered her heavenly home at the age of 73, Sunday, April 14, 2013.
She was born in Laredo, TX on March 4, 1940. She is preceded in death by her parentes, Florencio Ortiz and Juanita Martinez Ortiz, brothers, Florencio Ortiz, Pedro Ortiz, sisters, Andrea DeLeon & Elena Ortiz.
She is survived by her Loving Husband of 49 years, Patricio Cantu, Daughters, Melissa Cantu, Mandy Cantu, granddaughter, Makayla Cantu. Step-daughters Cynthia (Rick) Alvarado, Leticia (Tommy) Griffin, 5 Step-grandchildren, 7 Step-greatgrandchildren, numerous Nephews and Nieces and Sister-in-laws, Francisca Ortiz and Josephina Ortiz.
Visitation will begin 4pm to 9pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Holy Family Church, Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
