Juanita A. Barrera, 83, of Corpus Christi, Texas was reunited with her loved ones in heaven on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

She was born October 23, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Leopaldo Ayala and Jesusa Carmona Rodriguez.

Juanita is survived by her sister Mary Lou (Jose Vigil) Suarez of Houston, Texas, son Robert (Mary Jane) Figueroa of Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter Janie (Robert) Vega of Dallas, Texas, daughter Cindy (Rudy) DeLeon of Houston, Texas, daughter Joann Torres of Houston, Texas, son Richard (Jessica) Figueroa of Corpus Christi, Texas, son Patrick Figueroa of Corpus Christi, Texas, son Anthony (Carla) Figueroa of Houston, Texas, son Jose I. Figueroa of Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter Terry Ann (David) Gomez of Houston, Texas, son Joe G. (Jessika) Figueroa of Corpus Christi, Texas and son Paul Anthony (Arlene) Figueroa of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Grandchildren left behind are Jessica, Joe Robert, Jr, Jennifer, Melissa, Felita (an angel), Bobby, Rudy, Sofia, Rudy IV, Nikki, Johnny, Albert, Sonia, Stevie, Rick, Roland, Priscilla, Vanessa, Victoria, Mark, Amber, Anthony, Nicole, Bianca, Nicholas, Monique, David, Jr., Sarah, Aaliyah, Jason, Issac, Joshua. There are also numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends.

A memorial service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 4pm with a Holy rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m.

COVID protocols will be followed for those who choose to attend.
