It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my brother Juan Demetrio Pantoja , who departed this world on July 04, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on November 17,1969, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Juan was a cherished son of the late Juan Jose Pantoja and Cruz V. Pantoja, and a beloved brother to Christopher Valdez, including his son, Joseph Daniel Pantoja and an extended network of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and an abundance of friends and acquaintances.

Juan’s journey through life was filled with learning and growth. He pursued education at W.B. Ray High School, followed by Welding School, and South Texas Career School,. His career was as diverse as his talents, which were many. Whether as a welder for Bradley’s in Gregory-Portland, a medical assistant at Adame Chiropractor, or his current role at Buffel Grass Seed Company, Juan brought dedication and skills to every endeavor.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Juan’s true joy was found in the simple pleasures of life. His love for his son, his mom, and brother was immense, and he cherished every moment spend with them. His faithful companion, his dog Powder, was a constant source of happiness for him. Juan’s adventurous spirit often led him to travel, and explore, savoring meals out, and enjoyed the great outdoors and music. He had a particular flair for barbecuing, especially on a Sunday when the aroma of his cooking filled the air, often accompanied by the excitement of a football, baseball, or basketball game. He had a passion for seafood, pasta, and true Mexican cuisine.

Juan’s vibrant personality was a beacon to all who knew him. His amazing smile, infectious laughter, and conversational gift made everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless of lives, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. Juan was a man of many talents, known for playing darts, shooting pool, enjoying live music, and dancing with joy and abandon.

As we mourn Juan’s departure, we celebrate the beautiful life he led. The family wishes to express a special message that embodies Juan’s spirit: “ Who knew the Lord would soon call me away and I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. I leave you with three things to help you get by. I leave you with Courage that you might see your heart can’t be rebuilt with a world without me. I leave you Faith that you might believe the spirit will survive no matter how much we grieve. And I leave you Love to comfort you in healing and embrace unit we meet again in another place.

Juan Demetrio Pantoja will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who cared for him and loved him and in the countless ways he touched the lives of others. May he Rest in Peace. I miss you and love you with all my heart brother.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Juan life at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown Corpus Christi, Texas, 78417 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Public visitation begins at 3:00pm till 8:00pm, with a Holy Rosary at 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will celebrated on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11:30am at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 710 S. 19th St. Corpus Christi, Texas. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
