Juan Manuel "SONNY" Monsevais, age 65, passed away after a strong fight Friday June 11, 2021. He was born on October 23, 1955 in Beeville, TX to Juan Manuel Monsevais and Elvira Monsevais. Juan Manuel "Sonny" Monsevais is preceded in death by both of his parents and his two brothers, Rene Monsevais and Israel Herrera.

Sonny leaves behind his loving wife Laura Monsevais, his children Jennifer Heatley, Juan Manual "Sonnito" Monsevais, Rene- Lee Monsevais, Liz Marie Monsevais, Isaac Monsevais, and Yolanda Monsevais, along with many grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, Luis Monsevais and Carlos Monsevais to cherish all his great memories.

Sonny worked for the City of Portland, Texas after a long career over the road. Sonny enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed working out, boxing, and staying in shape, which was one of his best qualities. He was very protective of his family and wanted nothing but the best for all of them. Sonny and his wife enjoyed going by the water and eating snow cones although nobody could make him do that but her; they were a true love story. He was a very loving, confident, and passionate man and will be missed greatly.

Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Guardian funeral home chapel with an Evening Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.   Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Guardian funeral home with burial to follow in  Rose Hill Memorial Park.
