Joyce Anna Herington left this world to join our Lord and Savior on October 18, 2016. She was among family and her partner of 17 yrs. She had fought for so long but went to be among Gods angels. Joyce is survived by her son, Jose Nunez Jr.; daughter, Barbara Marie Nunez. All that knew Joyce, loved her wittiness and ability to make things happen. Her love was for her partner of seventeen years, Virginia Aguirre. She will be missed  dearly, but her love for life will not be forgotten. We thank the staff at CCMC/ Doctors for all their hard work to make her better, especially Dr. Tada's staff. To the Methodist Specialty Hospital in San Antonio, for allowing her the extra time given to be able to come home to be with her family. A celebration of life will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Friday October 21, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The family will begin accepting visitors at 4:00 p.m.
