Joshua "Josh" Steve Esparza, age 35, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was born and raised. He was born on February 11, 1983 to John Gilbert Esparza Jr. and Bertha Alicia Esparza of Corpus Christi, Texas.
He fell in love with Lianna Mercado in 2004 and they had three perfect boys who became Joshua's world.
He is survived by his three sons Joshua Esparza Jr., Jeremiah Esparza, and John Michael Esparza; his parents; one brother John Gilbert Esparza III, his son Troy Esparza and his daughters Kaci Garcia-Esparza and Kailey Garcia and his grandmother, Maria Esparza.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Gilbert Esparza Sr., and Guilebaldo Pena and grandmother, Bersabe Pena, all of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Josh graduated from Richard Milburn Academy and quickly found his passion for plumbing. Plumbers Warehouse is where most of Josh's work began and where his reputation followed, starting a big chapter in his life. He worked very hard to provide for his sons but always did it with a smile on his face.
He accomplished being a journeyman plumber and loved being the perfect dad. His favorite things to do while not at work were spending time with family and his boy's whether it was fishing, playing video games, barbequing, watching a movie or taking them to Get Air; it was always about the boy's happiness.
Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Guardian Funeral Home, Chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary and Celebration of Joshua's life to begin at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S.P.I.D./Kostoryz, followed by the Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd.
Reception to follow immediately after committal service at the Community Faith Church at 6606 Weber Rd.
