Josephine Villafuerte was called home on February 12, 2019 at the age of 58. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 15, 1960.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend; now our Guardian Angel. Josephine had a fun and loving soul, always with a smile on her face and a joke on her lips, there was never a dull moment. She devoted her life to her family. She taught her child to have a great faith in God, to be strong, loyal, independent and caring. Her fearless soul lead her to overcome any struggle she faced. She expressed every day of her life that, one of her greatest joys were her grandchildren, they all brought her so much pride and happiness. The legacy of Josephine's kind spirit and zest for life will live on through each them.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, children: Emilio, Monica (Mario); grandchildren: Kiara, Emilio, Ermilio, Moses, Raziel, Layla, Eusebio, Zayne, Caroline, Mario, Serenity, James, Nathan; great grandson Josiah; parents: Juan and Juanita Lopez; siblings: Cynthia (Bobby), Sandra (Robert), Michael (Cathy), Johnny (Kathy), Moses (Lisa), Mary Ann, Norma (Alex), Julie (Ori); numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
Public Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, February 21 at Guardian Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Comanche St., Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
