Obituary

Josephine Adame Gonzales
(July 23, 1928 - October 15, 2020)

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,
That giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;
And it shall be given him. James 1:5

Josephine Adame Gonzales gracefully went to be with our loving Lord and Savior on October 15, 2020 at the fully lived and blessed age of 92.
She was born on July 23, 1922 in Port Lavaca, Texas to her parents Alberto Alfredo Adame and Elvira Resudez Vela.

All of Josephine's family and friends including those she didn't know, who she helped and gave Godly advice to, will truly miss God's greatest Pillar of Light. Josephine was the wife, mother and grandmother that always showed those she loved deeply to always look to God in every waking moment for there was nothing greater than His love. Josephine was truly an angel walking this Earth blessing us with her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and unrelenting love.

Her grandchildren were always amazed with the games, songs and crafts she would create while showing them how to talk to God's creatures. Her Sons and Daughters always looked to her for the great wisdom and power of prayer that she showed and instilled in them.
God truly created the Strongest, most Loving and Full of Faith woman that Josephine Gonzales was and will always be, here and in heaven.

She now joins her beloved husband Candido Vela Gonzales, Son-David Gonzales, Daughter- Rosie Gonzales and Grandson-Christopher Paul Gonzales in the greatest Paradise ever imagined. Candido and Josephine leave behind the greatest legacy to their family. A legacy that will be carried on forever. A legacy not of worldly material but one of Faith, Love, Tradition, Moral Fortitude and Forgiveness, as we were Forgiven.

Josephine is survived by her Sons: James A. Gonzales (Sandy), Andy Gonzales (Anna), Candido Gonzales Jr., Robert Gonzales (Elida), John Edward Gonzales, and Daughters: Mary Ann Hernandez, Melba Davila (Rev. Gilbert), Naomi Reyna (Edward), Martha Davila (Jaime), Monica Evette Silerio (Mike), Sisters: Rebecca Adame Willis, Tommie Skinner, Brothers: Sisto Adame, Juan Amado Adame, Alberto Adame. Dalia Gonzales (David), as well as her many Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

As Josephine would likely say, "I'm gone from this world but not from your hearts. So let not your hearts be broken because I am gone, let them rejoice as I continue to live in each and every one of you whom I love so very much."

"Our grief is not a sign of weak faith but of great Love." -Billy Graham-
