Josephine G. Aleman passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 23, 2019 at the age of 80. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, friend to many and now our Guardian Angel. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 15, 1938 to her loving parents Lucio and Natalia Chacon. She is preceded in death by both her parents (previously mentioned), her mother in law Celia O. LeVrier, brothers: Reynaldo and Michael Chacon and numerous aunts and uncles.Josephine leaves behind, to cherish her memories, her husband Jose F. Aleman; three daughters: Cindy (Mark Van Vleck), Sandra (Butch Lecocq) and Tracy. Grandchildren include: Jonathan Aleman, Erica (Juan Cortez Jr.) and Vanessa Lecocq. Included in sharing memories are her great grandchildren: Juan III, Daniel, Elicia and Desiree Cortez; the family members of her brother Luis Chacon, her sister Beatrice Rodriguez and her brother and sister in law Daniel and Santa L. Gonzalez; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Josephine was married to Jose Aleman for 60 years. She graduated from Roy Miller High School 1956. She went on to work at Braslaus Furniture, Mack Trucks and Gunderland Marine in various positions but ultimately as a purchasing agent.Josephine loved to sew and travel and enjoyed the beach. Josephine and her husband bowled for many years on the Dos Aguilas Bowling League and this included many a trip to Mexico City, Mexico. She was very family oriented and she will be in our hearts and memories forever.
Memorial Rosary and Celebration of Life service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Guardian Funeral Home. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church 2509 Nogales St, Corpus Christi, TX 78416 361-882-3245. Burial will follow in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410 361-248-4830 @ 1pm
