Obituary

Joseph Randal Lee, affectionately known as Randy, was born on July 10, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024.

Randy is reunited with his parents, Robert and Thelma Lee, his brothers, Robert and David Lee, and two sisters, Sharon Roderick and Carole Neisig.

He is survived by sons Brian (Linda), Kevin (Ruthie) and his two daughters Kiana (Dillon) Chase, and Reigan Lee. He leaves behind  five grandchildren, a sister, Janet Wiley Amthor, two brothers Danny (Jane) Lee and Rodney Lee, his sister-in-laws, Helen and Nancy Lee, and numerous nieces, and nephews.

A lover of sports and the great outdoors, Randy graduated from James Monroe High School in 1977, where he excelled in athletics, earning the title of high school football player of the year in Los Angeles, California, during his senior year. Randy attended California State University Northridge where he played baseball.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of the country and valued the companionship of one of his dearest friends, Helen Lee. Whether hiking in the High Sierras or relaxing on the California beaches, Randy embraced the beauty of nature.

Randy was known for his compassionate heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Randy had a playful spirit and loved pulling pranks, always keeping the family on their toes, never quite sure what he was up to next. His sense of humor and mischievous nature brought laughter and joy to those around him.

Taken far too soon, Randy's life, spirit, and the love he shared with others will live on in our hearts and memories. Though his presence will be greatly missed, his zest for life and boundless enthusiasm will remain with us always.

A celebration of Randy's life will be held on October 19, 2024, at 3 P.M. at 1291 Shelly Rd, Refugio, TX. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join in honoring his memory.
