Joseph Anthony Flores, 69, passed away on January 26, 2024.  Joseph was born on September 10, 1954 to Joe and Helen Flores in San Antonio, Texas where he was raised.

Joseph graduated from Highlands Highschool. He served in the US Army from 1972-1975. His rank was a 5P4 and received a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. Joseph Married his wife Cathy of 9 years on February 20, 2015. Joseph was employed by USPS for many years. Joseph enjoyed fishing and traveling. He will always be remembered for his quiet nature. Joseph embraced a simple life. His love language was giving. He enjoyed his leisure time with his family in San Antonio and Corpus. He enjoyed relaxing with a good cigar while looking out at the ocean. Joseph was a loving father, son, husband and brother.

Joseph is preceded in death by Joe and Helen Flores.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Cathy, step-daughter Kelley, son in law Eric, his brother Chris Flores, his sister Laura Zuniga, Children Noelle, Sarah, Julia, Jacob, Linda and his numerous grandchildren.

Public visitation will begin at 1 0:0 0 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow with full military honors at 2:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
