Josefina was born in Corpus
Christi Texas. She also
resided in Robstown Texas,
where she was a resident of a
Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death
by her husband, Joe Garcia,
brother, Arturo Chavez,
grandson, Paul Carranza Jr.
She worked for H.E.B. until her
retirement.
Josefina had three children:
Janie Garcia Hernandez, (Fermin Hernandez) of Corpus
Christi, Texas, grandchildren: Corina Carranza (late Paul
Carranza Jr.), Christina Hernande, Beatrice Galvan, great
-grandchildren: Jordan Hernandez, Angelique Garza, Julyan
Rios, Johnny Galvan, great-great-grandchildren, Izreal
Hernandez, Katalina Hernandez; daughter, Connie Gutierrez
from California, grandchildren, Sandra Gutierrez, Lisa
Ayore (Kichana Ayore), Gloria Harwood (Robert Harwood);
daughter, Lucy Vela (Damaso Vela) Corpus Christi Texas,
grandchildren, Vanessa Lopez (Oscar Lopez) Robert Vela
(Victoria Vela), great-grandchildren: Natalia M. Lopez, Ariella
M. Lopez, Lelia G. Vela.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24,
2015 at Guardian Funeral Home, chapel A, with a rosary to
be recited at 7:00 p.m., that evening.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday,
November 25, 2015 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown,
Texas.
Pallbearers: Fermin Hernandez, Damaso Vela, Robert Vela,
Oscar Lopez, Jordan Hernandez, Beatrice Galvan. Honorary
Pallbearers: Rene De la Paz, Julyan Rios, Johnny Galvan.
Thank you to San Rafael staff, Altus Hospice Staff, Tanya
Canto RN who took care of Josie.
