Jose Rene Seballez, 77, passed away June 3, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Jose was born January 31, 1946 to Jose and Adela Seballez in Robstown, Texas.

Jose never met a stranger. He loved bbq's and beer in his earlier years. He loved being out in the yard. He loved being around family telling stories and laughing. He had an infectious smile that would light up a room.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Adela Seballez; his ex-wife Juanita Castillo; along with his sisters, Maria Garcia, Elia Seballez, Lupe De Los Santos, Elenor Seballez, Frances Juarez (Fidel), Eva Hernandez (Roy).

Jose leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Frank Leal (Melissa), Brenda Francis (Alvin), Joey Seballez (Indilisa), Nastassia Vasquez; grandchildren, Elizabeth(Ryan), Andre, Anthony(Vanessa), Alyssa, Jose, Jasmin, Markus, Adrian, Mallory, Jacob, Nathaniel, Travis, and Molly; great-grandchildren, Emilianna, Renaye, and Lae'Ola; and a great great-granddaughter, Anaya; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved.

The family would like to send a special Thank You to Focused Care Nursing Home and Harbor View Hospice. A very special Thank You to Pamela and Sara. We could not have asked for a better nursing home or better nurses to care for our father.

Public Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home. 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, Texas with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Guardian Funeral Home, with the Catholic Chapel Service to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon and Burial to follow at 2:30 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, TX.
