Jose Samuel Ramirez, age 68, was called to be with our Lord on February 21, 2021. He was born on October 2, 1952 in Lockhart, TX to Margarito Ramirez and Elvira Ortiz.

After graduating from Roy Miller High School, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served from June 1972 to February 1978. Upon discharge he returned to Corpus Christi, TX where he would meet the love of his life and they would start a family.

Jose was a retiree from CCAD-NAS where he worked for 30 years as a security guard.

Jose will always be remembered for his Faith in God, the love he had for his family, and his sense of humor. Jose was also a loving father and grandfather to 3 grandsons who he enjoyed spending time with. When he wasn't spending time with his family he was enjoying his hobbies which included gardening and photography.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents Margarito and Elvira Ramirez and siblings Delores and Irene.

Jose is survived by his wife, Yolanda; siblings Edward, Eva, and Rose: son, Jose; grandchildren, Luke, Jameson, and River.

There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10 am - 12:30 pm at Guardian Funeral Home followed by a service at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1 pm.
