Jose "Joe" Medina, completed his earthly journey on May 26, 2024 at the age of 63.

He was born on September 23, 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas to his parents Reynaldo and Juanita Medina.

Jose received his Holy Sacraments through Holy Family Catholic Church, the church where his family has called home for many years. He obtained his formal education at Foy H. Moody High School.

Although it is nearly impossible to capture such a wonderful life in only a few words, many knew Joe as a generous man always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He enjoyed working on vehicles, diagnosing and fixing many of his families vehicles at no cost! He dedicated over 25 years of service to Shaffer's Mufflers; his home away from home.

To say that Joe was a Dallas Cowboys fan, is an understatement; he was a die-hard supporter of the team! Although our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to the rock of our family, we know that his love will live on for generations to come.

Joe is preceded in death by his father Reynaldo Medina; along with his brothers: David Medina and Reynaldo Medina, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Mary Helen Medina and her children; daughter Adrianna Medina-Garza (Randy Garza); his siblings: Richard (Cynthia) Medina, Jesse (DeeDee) Medina, Mary Alice (Johnny) Cavazos. He cherished each of his grandchildren, spending priceless moments with them every chance he could. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Public visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Guardian Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Visitation will continue at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Guardian Funeral Home with a funeral procession to depart Guardian FH at 11:00 a.m. for an 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3502 Nogales/MacArthur.  Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery.
