Jose Marcos Gonzalez, lovingly known as Wello, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on September 7, 2025, at the age of 75.

He was born on October 7, 1949, in Higueras, Nuevo León, Mexico, to the late Isabel Aguilar Martínez and Rosendo González Martínez.

Wello dedicated 25 years of his life working at the H-E-B Bakery Warehouse. Outside of work, he was known for his sense of humor, his "grumpy old man" attitude that made everyone smile or roll their eyes and his special magic tricks—especially turning a simple piece of paper into a dollar for his grandchildren. He loved sharing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren always slipping them money when they came to visit. Other people will remember him as the literary man. Scratching lottery tickets was his hobby.His favorite music included the timeless songs of Ramón Ayala and Los Tigres del Norte.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Jane Reyna; his children Jose Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez-wife Amanda Gonzales Domingo Reyna, April Reyna-husband Brandon DeLeon,Juanita Reyna-husband Billy J.Hernandez Sr. Natasha Reyna-husband John Flores and Amada Gonzalez; his brothers and sisters The Gonzalez and the Aguilar, and many grandchildren and grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his beloved children, Maria Isabel Gonzalez and Michael Reyna, as well as his parents.

Services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Guardian Funeral & Cremation.

3:00–4:00 PM – Immediate family only
4:00–6:30 PM – Public viewing
6:30–8:00 PM – Rosary

A break room will be available for those who would like to bring food or refreshments.
