Jose Gonzalez 70, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday Novermber 11, 2014 after a short illness. He was born on February 28,1944 in Rio Grande City. At the age of 17 years old he moved to Corpus Christi where he lived the rest of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. + Mrs. Anselmo Gonzalez. two brothers Richard and Isabel Gonzalez, step daughter Laura Ann Narvaez and step son Mario Herrera. Jose leaves behind to cherished his memories his beloved wife Dahlia D Gonzalez, his daughters Alicia G. ( Douglas) Harley, Maria Esperanza Gonzalez and a son Jose Luis Gonzalez. 9 grandchildren, Kristian Faith Lopez, Theresa Marie Lopez, Douglas Harley, Maria Selena Gonzalez, Esmeralda Marie Lopez, Marcos Alfredo Lopez. also two brothers and three sisters. his step childern Lorenzo(Belinda) Herrera,IV, Gilbert (Emelda) Herrera, Lyria (Luis) Rojas and 17 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. He retired from basic industrial and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. he was cherished by his family and loved by all who knew him. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
