Joe Gonzales, age 73, died on August 12, 2017, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on March 3rd, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Roy and Inocencia Gonzales.
Joe was a loving father, grandfather, & great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of forty three years, Hermelinda Gonzales, two brothers, Panchito(Anita) Gonzales and Roy (Minda)Gonzales, three sisters, Elvira(Roberto) Segura, Blanca(Albert) Cantu, Margie(JR.) Lopez, 3 sons, Larry (Melinda) Aguilar, Eddie Aguilar and Tony (Krystal) Aguilar, four daughters, Linda (Anna) Gonzales, Debbie (Melissa) Gonzales, Elizabeth (Jeff) Hernandez, & Ruby (Lupe) Alaniz. He has sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was a Professional Truck Driver for fifty years. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, Western shows, going to car shows, and he never missed a boxing match. He always took pride in his truck and loved it when people would ask, "Is it for sale?" he replied with, not only a no, but a hell no.
Pallbearers include, Larry Aguilar, Roy Gonzales, Panchito Gonzales, Lupe Alaniz, Roy Marinez, Adrian Alaniz, & Joey Alaniz , Robert Segura.
Public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary and Celebration to begin at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral is scheduled for Joe Gonzales on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, funeral procession will depart Guardian funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. for a Drive by Joe's residence 4930 Kosarek then to St. Joseph Catholic church 710 S. 19th St. for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow at 5813 Ayers St.(Guardian Hall) All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joe Gonzales' life.
