Jose Maldonado Garza was born 4-6-1946 to Bernardo Garza and Eloisa Maldonado in Corpus Christi, Texas, raised in Carrizo Springs, returned to Corpus Christi at the age of 16.
He joined the Air Force on July 16, 1968 thru September 7, 1976, serving his country honorably for 8 years.
Jose is known of never meeting a stranger and known for helping anyone. He was intelligent, loving and will never be forgotten.
Jose passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 2, 2016.
Mr. Garza is survived by his wife Beatrice Salazar Garza, his children, Joann Olivas, Kimberly Nava (Orlando), Jeniffer Sanchez, Jerry Garza, and Jose Antonio Garza (Mary Ann).
Siblings: Sister Yolanda Baca, Brother Ramon Garza (Yolanda), Brother Raynaldo Garza, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
Services will be held Sunday, August 7th, at Guardian Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday August 8th at 11 a.m. at Most Precious Blood. Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
