Obituary

Jose Carrillo, Jr. earned his heavenly wings on December 17, 2020.He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on May 6, 1964 and was the fourth of 6 children. He was 56 years old and died of cardiac arrest. Joe worked most of his life in the food service Industry. One of his first jobs as a young man was at the Corpus Christi Country Club of which he was very proud. His personality was always cheerful even during his difficult times. For all who knew him, his smile will be greatly missed. Whenever he went to breakfast with his sisters (alias Golden Girls), Jose always lightened the mood. They would joke, laugh, and always have a great time. He would call his sisters just to see how they were doing. After their positive response, he would always reply, "Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus." During his good times, he was always a family man and joined family events. His perseverance kept him going. He would fall down, but with God's help, he would get up again. Finally, God saw that his struggles were many so he called him Home. We publicly acknowledge and thank the neighbors who rushed to his aid the moment he collapsed in front of his sister's house. They provided CPR as they waited with the family for the ambulance to arrive. Jose was then transported to the hospital's ICU and was there until he peacefully passed away. Jose is preceded in death by his father, Jose Carrillo, Sr. ; his sister, Yolanda Cardenas; his nephew, Gerardo "Jerry or Chino" Galindo; and his grand nephew Jerry Alexander Galindo. He is survived by his mother, Silveria G. Carrillo; sisters Lupita Hurst (Dairell), Julie Espinoza; Silvia Pacheco (Angel): brother Albert Carrillo (Esmeralda); brother-in-law Lamberto Cardenas and numerous nieces and nephews. Jose is also survived by his three children: Priscilla Ann Carrillo, Joann Angeles, and Joe Carrillo, III as well as many grandchildren.
