Jose Alfonso Calderon passed away on October 21, 2024 at the age of 74. Jose was born on April 11, 1950 in Falfurrias to Alfredo Calderon and Aurora Martinez.

He served our country in the US Army, serving in Germany during Vietnam. After being discharged, he came back to Corpus Christi, Tx, where he then met Adelita Garza, who would become his wife of 54 years. They continued their life in Corpus Christi, while raising their four children.

Jose was a boilermaker in the refineries and shared a passion for tire work and a love for pickup trucks and music. He later retired in 2018.

Jose is preceded in death by his father Alfredo Calderon, mother Aurora Martinez, and beloved daughter Lisa Calderon.

His legacy will live on through his three children, Joe Alfredo (Anita) Calderon, Amy (Roger) Calderon, Juan Gilberto (Sabrina) Calderon and several grandchildren who all adored him in their own way. He also leaves to cherish his memory three brothers and two sisters.

He was a great man, who was deeply loved by so many. We will always carry your spirit in our hearts.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19th from 9am-12pm with a Chapel Service to begin at 12pm . Burial will be at 2pm at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery .
