Obituary
Jorge Gonzalez, 67 years of age, went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2016.
Jorge was born on July 7, 1949 in Caibarien, Cuba. He left Cuba as a teenager, working as a naval captain, with a vision of a different life. Jorge was a man of many trades. From welding to pipe fitting, painting, to building homes and beautiful cabinetry work and teaching industrial trades.
Jorge is preceded in death by his parents Gustavo Gonzalez and Carmen Alcantara.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Delia Saucedo Gonzalez, his son Jorge Alberto (Blanca) Gonzalez, his daughter Jessica Michelle (Efran) Padilla, 5 grand children, 2 brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Kelsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 1610 Comanche. A celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers humanitarian donations for Cuban relief may be made in honor of Jorge Gonzalez to the family.
