Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jonathan Albert Saenz who was called home on February 19, 2024 at the age of 34.

A devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend to many is now our angel watching from above. Most would describe him as joyful, loving, and someone who was always positive.

He received his formal education from Foy H. Moody High School, graduating in the Class of 2007. While in school he excelled in many extracurricular activities like Choir, Drama Club, Journalism and even in his younger years he ventured into film and television production. He was proudly voted as the "Class Clown." Jonathan had a profound work ethic which led him to his latest job as the Outpatient Clinic Coordinator for the Post Acute Medical Center in Corpus Christi. He dedicated much of his time and energy to this career. Many of his co-workers knew him as the "yes man," as he was always ready to say "yes" to any task at hand and seeing to it that such a task was completed to the best of his ability.

His beautiful, warm, smile and bubbly personality brought light to so many lives.  He would do anything to see his family and friends happy. He cherished the memories he made and shared with the "A" Girls, some of his closest friends and confidants. Our hearts are broken as we bid farewell to such an amazing man, but we rest assured that his legacy is embedded in the hearts of those who were blessed to meet him.

He is joined now in heaven by his paternal grandparents Guadalupe and Ramiro Saenz, Sr.; maternal grandparents Elifaz R. Garza and Margarita Eufemia Aguilar Garza; uncle Ramiro Saenz, Jr., aunt Griselda Cortez; along with his beloved cat "Glady", which is short for Gladiator.

Jonathan leaves behind to cherish these memories, his mother Veronica Saenz (Rafael Hernandez); father Albert (Sandra) Saenz; siblings: Gabriel (Bobbie Jo) Garcia, Cassandra Garcia, Nikolas Saenz; nephew Norrin, niece Layla; Grandma Hortencia, aunts and uncles: Humberto (Catalina) Garza, Javier Garza, Araceli (John) Villarreal, Ruben (Sou Yung) Saenz, Terri (Michael) Greenaway, Tina (Leonard) Saenz, Nori (Charlie) Remondet, Sylvia (Robert) Vega, Julian Tamez, Jaime Tamez, Javier (Sylvia) Tamez; along with a host of extended members of the family and countless friends whom he loved dearly.
