Obituary

Johnny L. Johnson, known affectionately as John by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at the age of 68 in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas, where he was also born on June 10, 1956. John's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his community, leaving behind a legacy of love, commitment, and service.

John is survived by his beloved wife, with whom he shared a life full of joy and companionship, and his cherished daughter, who was the apple of his eye. He was a devoted son to his mother, Joanne Hartman, and a caring brother to Fred Johnson, Bill Johnson, Joe Ferrel, Carol Sue Johnson, Karen J. Simon, and Sarah Parker. His extended family members, who were an integral part of his life, will also feel the absence of his warm presence.

John's work ethic was unparalleled. For over 30 years, he dedicated himself to his work as an electrician, serving the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 278 with distinction and pride.

John's life was a testament to the values he held dear: hard work, family, and community. He approached every day with a sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive difference in the world around him.

As we say goodbye to John, we celebrate the life of a man who was deeply loved and who loved deeply in return. His memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him, and his influence will live on in the lives he touched. John's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but the stories of his kindness, his strength, and his spirit will be shared for years to come, ensuring that his legacy endures.

John L. Johnson will be deeply missed, but the light he brought into this world will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him.
