Johnnie Marie Norman, 60, passed away while surrounded by her family on July 24, 2017. Johnnie was born in Eagle Pass, TX. to John Henry Milam Sr. and Stella Cook on June 12, 1957. She was married to the love of her life Steven for 32 years. Johnnie was dearly loved by her family and will be profoundly missed. Her loving and kind spirit was an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Reconciliation for many years, and enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends in her free time. Johnnie is preceded in death by her father John Henry Milam Sr., her beloved grandmother Maria Isabel Ibarra, her brother John Ben Milam and John William Milam, and her dear friend Kerry Woods. She is survived by her husband Steven Norman, mother Stella Cook, brothers Johnny Earl "Buzz" Milam (Carolyn), John Henry Milam Jr. (Vivian), James Richard Milam, sisters Sandra Milam and Barbara Brinkman, brother and sister in-laws Marc and Carla, Alan and Janette, Dan and Mary, Jana and Preston, and numerous nephews and a niece. A special thank you to Angel Bright Hospice for their love and compassion in her final days, especially Will and Brenda. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Guardian Funeral Home. A mass will be held at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church on Friday, July 28th at 8:30 am. Burial will follow at 10:00am at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery. In celebration of Johnnie's life she requested that attendees wear cheerful attire.
