Obituary

John Gonzales, 55, completed his earthly journey on July 3, 2022.

He was born in Corpus Christi to the late Juan Jose Gonzales, Sr. and Jesusa Gonzales on October 14,1966. John was a proud graduate of W. B. Ray High School where he was a talented Baseball and Football player. He attended Del Mar College and he was employed by Marble Designs and Safeguard.

In 1999 he became a father to his only child whom he loved dearly and was very proud of, Rebekah Gonzales. He enjoyed attending High School baseball games. He especially enjoyed watching his nephews play football and baseball and supported his niece when she competed in cheer. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and would defend them win or lose. John was friends to many and never met a stranger.

He was well known for giving everyone he knows a nickname all while saying them in a way he only could. He was a member of Solid Rock church where he served as an usher and was a member of the Ambassador for Christ Life Group.

John is preceded in death by his sister Rebecca, his parents, and is survived by his daughter Rebekah Gonzales, his sisters, Linda (Oscar) Gracia, Suzanne (Jacob) Morales, niece Makaylah Gracia and nephews Darren Morales and Diego Morales and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

His memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.

Memorial Services will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022 at Guardian Funeral Home with the Chapel Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. that evening.
