Our beloved son, John Michael Elsberry, Jr passed away on July 2, 2024 at the age of 45. John was born on December 10, 1978 in Corpus Christi Texas to John Michael Elsberry Sr and Mary Smith.

John took after his father for the love of cooking and was a great chef for 30 years. He loved to play sports, including his favorite sport, Soccer. John was very kind, tender hearted, loved animals and willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a full body donor and was able to help 5 people with his contribution.

John is survived by his parents John Michael Elsberry, Sr and Mary Smith. Sister Jerri Michelle Elsberry, Aunt Shirley Ford and daughters of San Antonio, Cousins Monroe (Anne) and Joanna Carr from Groene, Brandi (Ron) R. Lott from Fort Worth, Mary Ford Leija, including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

John is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Asa Frank Elsberry, Sr and Mary Libby Kyle Elsberry, maternal grandparents Alton D. Smith and Lou E. Smith, Uncles Asa Frank Elsberry Jr and Jerry Smith and sister Michelle Renee Elsberry.
