Joel Leroy Garcia husband, father, and grandfather was called upon by the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was born on May 1, 1962 in Galveston, Texas. He was 51. Born to Benito Firo and Alicia Nesmith. He was raised by Maria Nesmith and Leroy Jobanowski who proceed him in death along with his son Joe Martin Garcia And brother Rudolpho Garcia.
Joel leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 27 years Norma A. Garcia. His daughters, Cynthia Rose (Corey), Julie Ann (Chris), son, Julian Andrew (Cassandra), brother Benito Jr., (Leonor), Robert (Shelia), Gregory, sisters: Elva, Sandra (David), Joanna; 14 grandchildren, and one great- grand daughter.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2013 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
A funeral procession will depart Guardian Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. for a 12:00 noon Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church on Hiawatha St. all services will conclude after the funeral Mass. Pallbearers Julian, Gregory, Alfredo Jr. , Angel, Robert, Chris, and Corey.
In life we loved you dearly. In death we love you still. You will remain in our hearts. Until we meet again.
