Jesusa Longoria Trevino, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2021.
She was born on January 14, 1939 in Alice, Texas, to Apolinar and Natalia Trevino.

She worked as an LVN in numerous hospitals around the coastal bend and retired from Bay Area Medical Center after a lifetime dedicated to the well being of so many others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Alonso Trevino, and her sisters Eufemia (Lupe +) Garza and Yolanda (Homero +) Ruiz.

She is survived by her sisters Simona (Ovidio +) Martinez and Aurora M. Perez, her daughter at heart Shirley (Anthony) Fernandez, granddaughter Araceli Fernandez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the kindest soul one could ever meet and a cherished and lifelong friend to so many people in her life. She was an avid Astros and Dallas Cowboy fan, loved gardening and country music. She was often seen out enjoying retirement over dinner and laughter with her closest friends, family, and colleagues, many of whom she had known, befriended, and mentored since nursing school.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Michael Martinez, Roberto Martinez, Alfonso "Joey" Trevino, James Rodriguez, Obi Martinez, and Stephen McCarthy.

Public visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

On Friday, May 14, 2021 guests are invited to meet at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 801 South Reynolds St. in Alice, Texas for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow in the New Collins Cemetery 2212 Sain Dr, Alice, Texas
