Jesus Joe "Jesse" Mireles, age 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 16, 2025. He was born on July 16, 1947, in Cuero, Texas.

Jesse was an Army Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country with honor. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to the United States Postal Service, from which he later retired. He was a gifted piano and trombone player who shared his passion for music through the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi.

A proud graduate of Miller High School, Jesse continued his education at Del Mar College, where he studied music and voice. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the Lindale Senior Center, watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, and meeting friends for coffee and conversation at Whataburger on Kostoryz Road. His love for life, music, and people brought joy to everyone who knew him.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Santos Mireles; his mother, Rita Mireles; and his siblings, Santos Mireles Jr., Lucy Angel, and Manuel Mireles.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Annette) Mireles; grandchildren, Lisa Maria Mireles, Kayla Nicole (Matthew) Zuniga, and Justin Jesse Mireles; sister, Roseann (Caesar) Gamez; brother, Pedro (Linda) Mireles; and great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Jesse will be remembered for his generous heart, musical talent, and unwavering love for his family and community.

Public visitation will begin on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Guardian Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial with full military honors at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
