Jesus Francisco Martinez, 81, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by a grandchild, Juan G. Flores, Jr., and a son, Edward Sul. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 17, 1934 to Francisco and Maria Niera Martinez, he was a graduate of Roy Miller High School, and was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic church. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jovita G. Martinez, 10 children, Ysabel Gonzalez, Josie (Francisco) Rizio, Jose Luis Bernal, Julia (David) Livas, Martin (Peggy) Sul, Raquel (Julian) Ramos, Francisco (Kim) Martinez, Jovita (Christopher) Arriaga, Belinda M. (Humberto, Jr.) Yeverino, Anna Maria Martinez, 30 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Guardian funeral home chapel "A" with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
