Jesse "Chuy" Marroquin, 61, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 2, 2020 at the age of 61.  He was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many.

He was born to parents Jose Marroquin and Consuelo (Morin) on October 1, 1958 in Mathis, Texas.

He spent most of his life living in Corpus Christi, where he worked as a warehouseman and mechanic.  Chuy enjoyed many things like music, watching NASCAR races , and the Dallas Cowboys, most will remember that he had a good sense of humor and always amused his family and friends with his jokes and stories, he had a huge heart full of love, alway laughing and smiling ready with a joke on his lips, he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe Marroquin, III, Oscar Marroquin, Victor Marroquin, and Valentine Lopez.  Jesse is survived by his six sisters, Linda Sano (Frank), Anita Valderrama (Val), Telma Villa (Frank), Belinda Noyola, Mary Godbehere (Mike), and Allison Lopez, brothers, Arnold Marroquin, Ernesto Marroquin, David Marroquin, and Rene Marroquin, his former wife Rosa Barbosa and his numerous nephews and nieces.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Guardian funeral home with visitation starting at 4:00 p.m. and a Holy Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m.
