Obituary
Jerry M Burton, born July 1, 1942 in Paragould, AR, died on August 16, 2016. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University and attended graduate school at the University of Arkansas. His career in electric motor sales with Emerson, Westinghouse, and Marathon Electric took him to live in Kennett, MO, Oxford, MS, El Paso, Houston, Little Rock, AR, and St. Louis, MO. Upon retirement in 2005, he moved to Corpus Christi. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard and served in the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Olive Burton. He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis Lynch, of Corpus Christi; son, Darin Burton (Terri), of Corpus Christi; daughters, Dona Amador (Kenneth) of Sealy, and Tammy Clopton of San Felipe; grandchildren, Colson, Jason, Whitney, and Moises; great-granddaughter, Bryleigh. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
