Jerald Valenzuela Castillo, 51, passed away on July 9, 2016. He was born in Corpus Christi on March 15, 1965 to Ben and Amelia Castillo.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Mario Albert Castillo (twin to sister, Maria Gonzales); brother-in-law, Ernest H. Sanchez. Jerald is survived by his parents, Ben and Amelia Castillo; fiancé, Isabel Herrera; daughter, Jeralynn Guzman; several grandchildren; brother, Ben Castillo III (Maricela); sisters, Nelda Jean Sanchez, Maria B. Gonzales, and Sylvia Olivarez (Abel); numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Jiminez, Abel Olivarez, Abel Olivarez III, Robert Castillo, and Benjamin Castillo IV, Benny Herrera and Junior Sanchez.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all of those who donated to assist with the funeral expenses, to family and friends who are coming from out of town to honor Jerald, and also to his sister, Maria B. Gonzales for all of the loving care she has given to their parents, Ben and Amelia Castillo. A Special thanks to Guardian Funeral Home and their staff, as well as, the staff of Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation for family will be on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., public visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home, with a service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be follow at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery.
