Jeanne Dawson Norton
Corpus Christi, TX
Jeanne Dawson Norton, age 73, born November 5, 1942 in Big Spring, Texas passed away at her home early afternoon on May 18, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Roger Norton; a sister, Jackie Kosek; a brother, Ed Dawson; and one niece and nephew.
Jeanne Norton lived the majority of her young years in San Antonio. She attended East Central High where she excelled in academics and the sports of tennis, basketball, and volleyball and was selected as an All American in the Pan American Games and was an alternate for the US Olympic team.
Jeanne Norton graduated from Corpus Christi State University with a BBA in Accounting with honors and soon passed the exam for her CPA license. She became a member of the local gun club and became an expert skeet shooter.
Jeanne Norton retired in 1999 after 13 years as Legal Administrator for the Law Firm of Gary, Thomasson, Hall, and Marks.
Jeanne and her husband, as retirees, maintained active lifestyles by playing tennis, biking, and traveling by motorhome throughout Canada and the U.S.
Family will hold a remembrance gathering at their home on Wednesday May 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
