Obituary

Jane “Janie” Alice Little Zeller, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Janie was born on March 20, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Hiram L. Little and Myrtie C. (Mangum) Little. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, C.W. and Harold (Katy) Little.

Janie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John “Jack” Joseph Zeller; their two sons, John Alan (Kendra) of New Braunfels and Jason Paul (Tiffany) of Corpus Christi; and five grandchildren, Travis, Asher, Brooke, Crosby, and Olive. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Schweizer, and brother, Jack (Sharolyn) Little.

Janie married the love of her life, Jack, on May 11, 1968. Together, they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years together. In 1987, Jack opened Certified Electric Services, where he and Janie worked side by side until their retirement. In her early years, she worked as a medical secretary and medical office manager.

Through the years, Janie was able to enjoy the loves of her life – her 5 grandchildren. She enjoyed staying connected with each of them. She was always quick to sing her happy birthday song and celebrate every milestone. “Inquiring grandmas want to know” was a phrase often heard when chatting with her grandchildren.

Janie loved traveling and being around family. She also enjoyed being on Lake Mathis, where time was spent fishing, skiing, and barbecuing. She was a longtime die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and loved being surrounded by the people she cared about.

Janie was a faithful servant of the Lord, and her faith guided her throughout her life. She was an active member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America. She attended Bible classes and volunteered whenever and wherever she could.

Janie had a generous heart and was always willing to give to others. She was known for her kindness, warmth, compassion, and wonderful laughter. She loved deeply and made those around her feel loved and cared for.

Her laughter and kindness will be forever missed by all who knew her. Her greatest legacy will be the love she gave to her family and the many lives she touched along the way.
