James "Jim" Robert Fielder, age 79, passed away on April 18, 2014. He was born in Abilene, Texas on December 10, 1934 to James and Louise Fielder who preceded him in death, along with his brother Jerry Leon Fielder, and his son, James Robert Fielder, Jr.
He was employed by and retired from Waukesha-Pierce Industries.
Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rhonda Fielder, sister Sherry Berry, daughters Cheryl Fortner (Steven), Carlene Towb (Benjamin), April Clark (Nathan), son Tim Fielder (Carol), and grandchildren Holly, Coby, Austin, Braden, Kaleb, Taylor, and Luke.
Jim enjoyed bowling, cooking, fishing, hunting, spending time with his many friends and listening to music. Jim will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He had a great loyalty and love for his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Monday, April 21st at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown, Corpus Christi, TX 78417. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Harbor Foundation at www.harborfoundation.com, which provides assistance to hospice patients and families in need.
