Jackie Nan Brown, 77 passed away unexpectedly, at her home in Corpus Christi on August 1, 2024.
Jackie was born in Dewitt, Arkansas on May 5,1947. She moved to Alice, Texas with her parents in 1953 and graduated from Alice High School in 1965. She attended Del Mar College.
Jackie married George W. Brown on October 8, 1966 and they raised one daughter. They divorced after 18 years together. George passed away in May of 2019.
Jackie worked as a secretary in her early years in the oilfield for several local companies but found her calling in the insurance industry helping others and making many friends. She started at Nueces County Farm Bureau office in 1982 and moved on to Lowke Insurance in Robstown, Texas in 1988 where she retired from as an agent and a notary in 2014
Jackie was a strong, independent, kindhearted women who enjoyed watching her Arkansas Razorbacks play football, watching movies with her grandson, crocheting and collecting depression glass and of course everything Elvis.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, H. Jack Mckenzie and Mary Helen Pollock Mckenzie.
Jackie is survived by her daughter Kristi Gaye Perry (Matt) of Harper, Texas. Grandson, Garrett Oliver of Cedar Park, Texas. Granddaughter, Harlii Perry of Kerrville, Texas. Brother, Mike Mckenzie(Margie) of Corpus Christi and a sister, Shelli M. Snow of Corpus Christi.
At Jackie's request there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association
