J.H. (Buddy) Edwards, age, 76, a resident of Robstown, Texas, passed away Monday March 21, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on October 14, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Oscar Bobby Edwards and Manon Carrie Edwards. Buddy retired from Citgo Refinery where he worked as a Machinist. He was well known for his gifted musical talents. He was an amazing musician, husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Anyone that had the privilege of hearing him play the guitar or fiddle were inspired by his love for music. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Manon Edwards, two sisters, Sandra Barnec and Barbara Strawn, one brother, Billy Edwards and one son, Patrick Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Edwards, four daughters, Melinda (Harold) Dillingham, Tamera (John) Marion, Leah and Suzanne Edwards, one son, James Edwards, two sisters, Patsy (Robert) Seaton, Jeanette (Don) Wooten, eight grandchildren, Amanda, Courtney, Roslyn, Kristin, Shelby, Quintin, Patrick and Devin, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home chapel "A". Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park cemetery, 4607 FM 1889 Robstown, Texas.
