Irma Torres Ramirez, a long-time resident of Corpus Christi, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was 60 years old. Irma was born on January 19, 1955 in Bono, Ohio to Joel and Virginia Torres.

Irma received her LVN Nursing Degree from Del Mar College and spent over 25 years as a nurse in Corpus Christi. She worked at several health care facilities including Lynn Haven Nursing Center, Retama Manor Nursing Center, South Park Manor Nursing Home, Wooldridge Place Nursing Center, and The Children's Clinic among others.

Irma was a member of Church Unlimited in Corpus Christi where she regularly attended. She enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts including scrapbooking, painting, quilting, and crocheting and had a beautiful smile that could light up any room.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Ramirez, and her brother, Mike Torres. Irma is survived by her mother, Virginia Soto; her siblings Joel (Millie) Torres, Jacob (Christina) Torres, John (Juaney) Torres, Rory (Noe) Bocanegra
, and Frank (Rosie) Espericueta Jr.; her sons Roger Galvan, Eddie (Alicia) Carrizales, and Bryan Ramirez; numerous nieces and nephews and several grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Guardian Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 7:00 PM.
